Objectives:
Main objective: achievement of a number of prototypes that follow a new functional - constructive approach, featuring perfect sealing and continuous flow rate adjustment, as well as of an advanced high accuracy positioning pneumatic system.
Associated objectives:
- in depth knowledge of the precise operation of pneumatic systems area generally, and of proportional control valves for flow rate control particularly, in a mechatronic view – integrating electronic and IT components in the construction and functioning of the servo distributor;
- theoretical and applied research concerning solutions of perfect sealing proportional control valves, electromechanical converters – functional components playing an important role in the development of servo distributors;
- theoretical and applied research regarding the structure of a pneumatically automated system in its simplest configuration: servo distributor – pneumatic cylinder;
- theoretical and practical research on new types of reaction that would correlate the position of the piston rod from the pneumatic cylinder with the real opening of the elements that dimension the flow sections of the distributor;
- specific engineering activities for completing the cycle of assimilation of a new product : design – prototype manufacturing – experimental testing – optimizing technical and functional parameters – elaborating final documentation, valid for industrial manufacturing;
- use of the prototype of high accuracy pneumatic actuation system for the operation of translation units from the structure of industrial robots and/or other industrial equipment.
